These Terms & Conditions set out the basis on which Woodford Gardening Services Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides gardening and related services. By accessing our website, requesting a quotation, or instructing us to carry out work, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

 

1. Services

• We provide garden maintenance and general gardening services as described on our website, in quotations, or as otherwise agreed in writing.

• Services may include (but are not limited to) lawn care, hedge cutting, pruning, planting, weeding, garden clearance, and general upkeep.

• We do not provide structural, construction, or building services, including (but not limited to) foundations, retaining walls, drainage installations, paving, decking, fencing, or electrical or plumbing work, unless explicitly agreed in writing.

 

2. Quotes and Payment

• All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date issued.

• Quotations are based on site conditions observed at the time of inspection.

•  We reserve the right to amend quoted prices where site conditions differ from those observed, including but not limited to access restrictions, ground conditions, waste, obstructions, or undisclosed issues.

• Any additional work requested or required outside the original scope will be charged separately.

 

3. Payment Terms

• Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

• Accepted payment methods include bank transfer or cash, unless otherwise stated.

• The invoice number must be used as the payment reference.

 

4. Late Payment

• Where an invoice remains unpaid after the due date, we reserve the right to apply a £25 administration fee.​

• Interest may be charged at up to 5% per month on the outstanding balance until payment is made in full.

• We reserve the right to suspend or withhold further services where invoices remain unpaid.

• These charges are intended to cover administrative and financing costs associated with overdue accounts.

• Where applicable, we reserve the right to charge statutory interest and compensation in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

 

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

• Clients must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

• We reserve the right to charge for missed appointments or cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice.

• Where we are required to cancel due to weather, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances, work will be rearranged at the earliest reasonable opportunity.

 

6. Health, Safety and Access

• The client is responsible for providing safe, reasonable, and unobstructed access to the work area.

• Delays caused by restricted access, unsafe conditions, or undisclosed issues may result in additional charges or rescheduling.

• Clients must ensure pets, children, and valuables are kept safe and clear of the work area while services are being carried out.

•  We reserve the right to stop work immediately where conditions are unsafe.

7. Animal Waste and Hygiene

• Where animal waste (including dog, fox, or cat fouling) is present within the work area and obstructs tools, machinery, or safe working conditions, a £10 cleaning and delay charge may be applied.

• This charge reflects additional time required for cleaning equipment and maintaining hygiene and safety standards.

 

8. Liability

• We will carry out all work with reasonable skill and care.

• We are not responsible for damage arising from:

• Pre-existing faults or defects

• Poor or undisclosed site conditions

• Hidden services such as pipes, cables, or irrigation systems

• Misuse, neglect, or circumstances beyond our control (including weather)

• Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability which cannot be excluded under UK law.

9. Garden Waste Removal

• Green waste removal is included only where expressly stated in the quotation or invoice.

• Any additional waste removal requested or required may be charged separately.

 

10. Website Use

• The content of this website is provided for general information only and does not constitute professional advice.

• No content may be copied, reproduced, or distributed without our prior written consent.

 

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
