These Terms & Conditions set out the basis on which Woodford Gardening Services Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides gardening and related services. By requesting a quotation or instructing us to carry out work, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
We provide professional garden maintenance and related services as agreed in writing.
This may include (but is not limited to):

Lawn care and mowing

Hedge cutting and pruning
-
Planting, weeding, and border maintenance
-
Garden clearance and general upkeep
We do not undertake structural or construction work (e.g. paving, decking, fencing, drainage, electrical or plumbing) unless explicitly agreed in writing.
2. Quotations

All quotations are free of charge and valid for 30 days
-
Quotes are based on site conditions at the time of inspection

We reserve the right to revise quotes where conditions differ (e.g. access, waste volume, ground conditions, hidden issues)

Any additional work outside the agreed scope will be charged separately
3. Pricing & Payment

Regular maintenance is charged at an agreed hourly rate
-
A minimum charge of 1 hour applies to all visits
-
Invoices are issued monthly unless otherwise agreed
-
Payment is due within 7 days of invoice date
Accepted payment methods: bank transfer or cash
(Invoice number must be used as reference)
4. Late Payment
If payment is not received within 7 days:

A £25 administration fee may be applied
-
Interest may be charged at 5% per month on overdue balances
-
Services may be suspended until payment is received
We reserve the right to charge statutory interest and compensation under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
5. Materials & Additional Costs

Materials (e.g. plants, compost, treatments) are charged separately
-
Waste removal is charged unless stated otherwise
-
We may require upfront payment for materials before ordering
6. Cancellations & Scheduling

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations
-
Late cancellations or missed visits may be charged
-
Repeated cancellations may result in withdrawal of regular slots
Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
7. Access, Health & Safety
Clients must provide safe and unobstructed access to the work area.

Delays caused by restricted access or unsafe conditions may incur charges
-
Pets, children, and valuables must be kept clear of work areas
-
We reserve the right to stop work immediately if conditions are unsafe
8. Animal Waste
Where animal waste (e.g. dog or fox fouling) affects safe working conditions, a £10 cleaning and delay charge may be applied.
9. Waste Removal

Green waste is removed only if agreed

Additional waste will be charged separately

Waste may be left on-site if preferred and agreed
10. Liability
We carry appropriate public liability insurance and will carry out work with reasonable skill and care.
We are not liable for:

Pre-existing defects or poor prior workmanship
-
Hidden services (e.g. cables, pipes, irrigation)
-
Damage caused by undisclosed issues
-
Weather-related or environmental factors beyond our control
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it is unlawful to do so.

12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
